Old Time Candy Decade Box Review & Giveaway

Have you ever wondered what happened to Big League Chew, Candy Buttons and other favorites from your childhood memories? Well I know I have and do so more and more now that I am a parent myself. Then I found Old Time Candy and realized that these are not gone for good just hard to find unless you know where to look.

Old Time Candy Mission Statement
The mission of the Old Time Candy Company is to provide childhood candy memories in such a way that it glorifies God and His plan for our lives. Our goal for every candy order is that it results in a “delighted customer.”
We recognize the dignity of life in our customers, employees and suppliers and treat everyone who crosses our path with the highest standard of integrity and morality. The success of any organization depends on how it serves human needs through the combined efforts of people.
We agree with President Theodore Roosevelt who said, “In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing."

At Old Time Candy you can fine everything from single pieces, candy by the case, retro toys, party favors and candy decade boxes. The selection makes this the ideal shop for holiday treats, birthday parties and even gift ideas.

As children of the 80s, I could not help but order the 1980s Candy 4 lb Decade Box for my husband’s birthday. The four pound decade assortment box measure 12 x 9 x 3 inches and is jammed with over 70 pieces of candy, 60 different candies with very few duplicates. We were shocked with the quantity and quality of the candy included. When you think about a candy bar being around a buck now and small single candy pieces around .25 cents, I firmly believe it would have been nearly impossible for me to put together a box this full for just $35.99.

A typical 1980s candy assortment may include the following candies: Airheads, Appleheads, Atomic Fire Balls, Blow Pops, Bottle Caps, Bubble Tape, Bubblicious Bubble Gum, Butterscotch Disks, Candy Necklace, Candy Ring, Caramello Bar, Caramel Creams (Bull's Eyes), Charms Sweet Pops, Cinnamon Bears, Cinnamon Disks, Cow Tales, Cry Baby Extra Sour Bubble Gum, Gobstoppers, Home Run Baseball Gum, Gummi Mini Burger, Hershey Special Dark Bar, Hot Dog Bubble Gum, Hot Tamales, Jawbreakers, Laffy Taffy, Lemonheads, Lik-M-Aid Fun Dip, Lollies, Marshmallow Ice Cream Cones, Mike & Ike, Milk Duds, Nerds, Now & Laters, Peanut Butter Bars, Pixy Stix, Pop Rocks, Push Pops, Razzles, Red Hots, Reese's Pieces, Ring Pops, Runts, Skittles, Skor, Smarties, Sour Patch Kids, Spree, Starburst, Peppermint Sticks, Sugar Daddy, Swedish Fish, Sweetarts, Tootsie Pop Drops, Tootsie Pops, Tootsie Rolls, Wax Lips, Zotz Sours.

That is a lot of candy and even with the kids sneaking into my husband’s gift; it last nearly two weeks in my home. Our favorites from this decade box were Skor, Cow Tales, Wax Lips and Cry Baby Bubble Gum. I would undoubtedly buy this again and for other gift occasions as well. I already have a 1960s candy decade box on my list for you know who’s 50th birthday coming up.
